(Audubon, IA) — Audubon Boys Track and Field Head Coach Tony Konkler is trying to stay patient as he can. So far this season, he has not been able to field his full team because of injuries. Every time one guy gets healthy, another guy gets hurt. Yet, the Wheelers have persevered and on Tuesday night had one of their best meets of the season. In the 400 Hurdles, Carson Wessel surprised even himself by winning with a season PR of 1:08.30. Konkler liked the way Wessel finished the race
Audio PlayerThe Shuttle Hurdle relay team should be renamed the Shuffle Hurdle team because Konkler has had to change the line up so much. Audio PlayerWith Olsen on the mend, now Gabe Jensen got hurt on Tuesday but Konkler says it is not serious and hopefully — knock on wood — will only miss one meet. Konkler has been impressed with his freshmen — Jorgen Nowatzke and Mason Kasperbauer have flown under the radar says Konkler and on Tuesday Aiden Kjergaard ran a PR in the 800
