(Atlantic) The Atlantic School Board approved the FY26 Budget following a public hearing Wednesday evening. There were no comments from the public.
Lisa Jones, Director of Finance, said the budget was set at the highest rate because it can only be decreased, not increased. She explained that when the budget was set, they did not yet know the amount of State Aid they would receive.

Jones said the management funds needed to be increased primarily because the costs of property insurance, auto insurance, and cybersecurity had risen by more than 20 percent.
In other action, the School Board approved a bid from Rick’s Computers in the amount of $279-thousand for 900 new 1-1 devices. The Board also approved changing their health insurance vendor to Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield for 25-26.
