(Griswold, IA) — The Griswold Girls Track and Field walked away from Monday night’s meet at Lenox with a third place finish but more importantly, Head Coach Rachel Larson said that the team had a total of 14 season PRs. One of the best races was the 400 Hurdles where the Adams sisters went head to head and finished 1-2 with both sisters getting season best times. Carsyn Adams got the win with a time of 1:08.96 while Addison Adams was 2nd at 1:09.20. Larson says that Carsyn, a sophomore and Addison, a senior are getting almost neck and neck
The signature event for the Griswold girls remains the shuttle hurdle relay and they won last night with another PR and will be a contender for a state title this year
Alexa Steinhoff ran a PR in the 800 last night, Ella Gade improved in the discus by almost 7 feet, the Distance Medley Relay improved by over 8 seconds, and Larson says she is seeing progress from another relay
