(Audubon, IA) — The Rolling Valley Conference has invited Audubon and IKM Manning to join its conference. If both would leave the Western Iowa Conference, the earliest they would join the new conference would be in the 2026-27 school year.
Audubon could vote on the issue at its next school board meeting on May 19, 2025 or they could simply discuss the possibility — that will be determined later.. IKM Manning is also having its next school board meeting on Monday, May 19.
Both schools are currently in the Western Iowa Conference which currently has 9 members: AHSTW, Audubon, IKM Manning, Logan Magnolia, Missouri Valley, Riverside, Treynor, Tri Center and Underwood. Audubon has been in the WIC since the 1990-91 school year.
The Rolling Valley Conference currently has 9 members with Ar-We-Va, Boyer Valley, CAM, Coon Rapids Bayard, Exira EHK, Glidden Ralston, Paton Churdan, West Harrison and Woodbine.
If Audubon and IKM Manning were to move to the RVC, mileage would probably be reduced and the two schools would be in a conference with the schools that have a more comparable enrollment.
