(Cass Co) The Cass County Board of Supervisors held a public hearing on the proposed Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Budget. There were no comments during the hearing.
The Supervisors then voted four to one to approve a resolution setting the Compensation Schedule for Elected officials in Fiscal Year 2025-2026. The compensation includes flat rate increases of $1,000 for the Board of Supervisors, plus an additional $1,000 for the Board Chair; $2,000 increase for the Recorder and Treasurer; $3,200 increase for the Attorney and Auditor; and a $5,953 increase for the Sheriff.
The Supervisors also voted four to one to adopt the Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Cass County Budget and Certification of Taxes. Supervisor Wendy Richter voted no on both items.
The Supervisor approved the Cass County Secondary Roads Five-Year Construction Program. Engineer Trent Wolken explained some of the projects in the program.
