Cyclones Girls Track Strongest in Mid Distance So Far This Season

(Harlan, IA) — The Harlan Girls Track and Field team will be on the track again tonight (Tuesday) in Council Bluffs at Lewis Central’s Titan Stadium.  Head Coach Jenny Hamilton wants her girls to keep getting better.  One person she does not have to worry about is Senior Lindsey Sonderman who qualified for this week’s Drake Relays in both the 1 mile and 2 mile races.  Hamilton says Sonderman has been working towards this goal

In the mid distance, Freshman Ashlyn Rau has stood out — she is fastest on the team in the 800.  Hamilton says she is very coachable

On the relays, Hamilton says they have not settled on a final line up for the 4×400 and 4×800 which she feels is strongest.  They are still at 6-7 runners on each so that will be a goal in the next few meets to narrow it down.  In the field, the Cyclones have had some season PRs
