(Des Moines, IA) — The Drake Relays is scheduled to begin with their road races next Saturday. Tuesday, April 22 will be the Grand Blue Mile in downtown Des Moines. On Wednesday will be Decathlon and Heptathlon plus one of the most storied US Olympians will be in Iowa for the men’s world shot put series that evening. Audio PlayerIn addition, Boldon recently announced that the Olympic gold medalist in the 100 Hurdles Masai Russell will be competing on the blue oval. There is also former University of Iowa standout in the 110 Hurdles Jamal Britt and Olympian and Sioux City, Iowa native Shelby Houlihan. The first full day of competition for the Drake Relays is Wednesday April 23. The high school field for the Relays will be released today (Saturday) and will start competition on Thursday.
