(Earlham, IA) — AC/GC and Nodaway Valley competed at the Earlham Co-Ed Meet on Tuesday night.
AC/GC Girls: Ava Campbell set a new season PR in the 1500 at 4:55.10 and finished 2nd place. The Distance Medley Relay was 2nd at 4:25.96 which is a new season PR by 4 1/2 seconds. The D Med team is Nora Langgard, Lillie Lauzon, Savannah Akers with Campbell as anchor. Becca Littler was 3rd in the discus.
AC/GC Boys: The Chargers had new season PRs in three relays — the 4×100 finished 3rd at 44.12 with Joe Crawford, Kade Sorensen, Dean Vela and Eli Madsen and is now ranked T66th in the state; the 4×400 finished 2nd at 3:31.08 with Luke Brincks, Talon Noland, Sorensen and Vela; and the 4×200 finished 2nd and ran a 1:33.73 with Vela, Crawford, Brinks and Sorensen. AC/GC was also 2nd in the sprint medley relay. Individually, Tate Fever was 2nd in the 110 Hurdles, Eli Madsen 3rd in the 400, Brexton Schneider 3rd in the 100 Hurdles, Talon Noland was 3rd in the 200.
Nodaway Valley Girls: Maddie Weston set new season PRs in the 100 and 200 — 2nd in the 100 at 13.13 behind Mia Backous of Grand View Christian at 13.10 and 3rd in the 200 at 27.73. Allie Cornelison was 2nd in the 100 Hurdles with a season PR at 17.41.
Nodaway Valley Boys: Trent Warner won the shot put at 50-11.25. Gabe Winkelmann was 3rd in 1 mile with a season PR of 4:48.32 and was 3rd in the 2 mile.
Other girls highlights
Clarinda: Jerzee Knight won the 200 at 25.21; Kenley Sunderman won the discus at 98-00; Cardinals won the 4×100 and 4×200 relays
Earlham: 1st place in the distance medley relay
Other boys highlights
Clarinda: Kaiden Room first in the long jump and 100; Kyle Wagoner first in the 1 mile and 2 mile; Nolan Wagoner first in the 200
Lenox: Gabe Funk won the 400, 400 Hurdles and 110 Hurdles
Earlham: Carter Hohertz first in the high jump and they won the 4×800 relay
