(Anita) On Monday night, the CAM School Board approved a plan for memorabilia aimed at eventually opening a museum. School Board President Cara Murphy noted that after the closure of the north elementary building in Anita and the consolidation of the middle and high schools, the district found itself with overflowing trophy cases. Murphy says this left no room for the latest trophies and awards for the students.

Audio PlayerThe meeting opened with two public hearings: one concerning the budget for 2025-2026 and the other regarding the updated school calendars for 2025 and 2026. Murphy reported that the board approved both plans, which featured an adjustment to this year’s class schedule. As a result of snow days, the final day for students has been set for May 23, and they will be dismissed two hours early. Following Memorial Day Weekend, the teaching staff will return to prepare for three days of Professional Development.
