(Neola, IA) — Griswold won the Tri Center Boys Track & Field Invitational on Tuesday night, beating Logan Magnolia by two points. Meanwhile, the home team Trojans got season PR times in three different relays.

Griswold: The Tigers had six wins with Connor Bowers winning the High Jump at 6-04 — the Senior has already clinched a spot in the Drake Relays. RJ Dishong won the Discus at 142-06; Holden Jensen won the 2 mile at 10:42.52. Griswold had three winning relays — the 4×400 at 3:40.83 (Auden Wilson, Cody Dorscher, Connor Bowers, Bode Wyman); the Shuttle Hurdle with a season PR at 1:02.21 and now ranks 38th in the state (Wyatt Silk, Wilson, Peyton Cook, and Wyman); and the Sprint Medley at 1:37.20 which is a new season PR (Wyman, Wilson, Peyton Cook, Dorscher). The Distance Medley relay did not win but finished 3rd with a season PR at 4:01.69 (Wyman, Bowers, Dorscher, Jensen). Cook was 2nd in the 110 Hurdles.
Tri Center: Three relays for the Trojans earned season PR’s with the same four runners (Brenton Kramer, Zach Nelson, AJ Peters and Carter Kunze) — the 4×200 was first at 1:34.24 and got a PR by 3.70 seconds; the Sprint Medley relay was 2nd at 1:37.20 and the 4×100 was 2nd at 45.52 seconds. Kunze also won the Long Jump at 20-01. Brennan Boden was 3rd in the 800 but got a season PR at 2:07.06. Haven Weers was 2nd in the 1600.
AHSTW: Luke Sternberg won the 400 with a season best time of 49.78. He becomes the 16th runner to crack the 50.00 mark this year. He is now less than a second from the blue oval standard of 49.00 and ranks 9th in the state in the 400 as of this writing. Sternberg was also 2nd in the 200. Collin Harder was 2nd in the 800 with a season PR of 2:03.58. The Vikings were also 2nd in the 4×800.

Fremont Mills: The Knights were 1st in the 4×100 and Distance Medley and had season PRs in both
Boyer Valley: Dane Gorham won the 800
St. Albert: Parker Heisterkamp won the 1600; Jayden Beckman was first in the long jump and they won 4×800 relay
Westwood: Josiah McFarland won the 100 Hurdles; Joe Dewald won the 400 Hurdles
