(Cass Co) The Cass County Board of Supervisors, serving as the Compensation Board, approved updated salary recommendations for Fiscal Year 2025-2026.
The compensation includes flat rate increases of $1,000 for the Board of Supervisors, plus an additional $1,000 for the Board Chair; $2,000 increase for the Recorder and Treasurer; $3,200 increase for the Attorney and Auditor; and a $5,953 increase for the Sheriff.
The Supervisors also approved a letter of support for Iowa Western Community College Adult Education and Family Literacy Act program and they approved removing Darci Young as Medical Examiner Investigator and the appointments of Erik Johnson and Kristy Libby as Medical Examiner Investigators.
The Board received reports from Cass/Guthrie County Environmental Health and the Cass County Engineer’s Office. They also heard a presentation from SecureTech Systems on a wireless emergency notification system.
