(Afton, IA) — CAM had some highlights at a co-ed meet hosted by East Union on Monday night.
On the boys side, Carson McKee had mostly run middle distance this season but he ran the 200 on Monday and finished 2nd with a time of 24.83 which is 2nd on the team. McKee was also second in the 400 Hurdles at 1:03.79. McKee was also part of the 4×100 relay which had a season best time of 47.05, beating their previous best of 47.95. Keagan Croghan, Cohen McCann and Kayden Winther also ran with McKee. The 4×200 with the same four won as well with a time of 1:37.94. In addition to his relay wins, Winther took first place in the Long Jump at 19-10. Colin Bower was 2nd in the 100 with a season PR of 12.36 and was 3rd in the 110 Hurdles. Ethan Chaney was 2nd in the 3200; Brayden Chester was 3rd in the Discus and Zach Kauffmann was 3rd in the 800.
For the Cougar girls, Ada Hansen did not run int the 400 Hurdles but instead entered the 800 and won by 15 seconds with a time of 2:36.41. Hansen also won the 100 Hurdles at 15.99 seconds. Courtney Follmann also won the Discus with a throw of 113-03.
