Busy Week for Trojans Boys and Girls Tennis

(Atlantic, IA) — After a tough opener against Kuemper Catholic, the Atlantic Tennis teams were competitive on last Thursday against Creston. The girls match came down to the wire but the Panthers pulled out a 5-4 victory. Sophomore #2 player Jacobi Harter had 2 wins though for the Trojans in singles and doubles. Atlantic is a young team and Head Coach John McDermott is pleased with the leadership skills of Harder and #1 player Lilly Willrich

On the boys side, Atlantic rebounded from the loss against the Knights to nearly sweep the Panthers 8-1. At #1 singles, Kinnick Juhl looked good in his singles win says McDermott

Both Shenandoah and Glenwood are not ranked in Class 1A boys tennis but are in the others receiving votes so they will be tough opponents for the Trojans.
