(Creston) One person suffered injuries in a rollover accident in Union County.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened in rural Union County on Friday at around 10:30 a.m.. A passenger in the vehicle, 29-year-old Ryan Michael Mahurin of Jefferson, suffered injuries in the crash.
According to the Union County Sheriff’s Office, a 15-year-old male from Jefferson, Iowa, was driving a northbound 1999 Ford Ranger Pickup on a gravel road when the teen stated he swerved to miss a deer. The evasive action caused the truck to enter the north ditch, struck an embankment, and overturned, coming to rest on its top.
Authorities say EMS ground ambulance transported Mahurin to the Greater Regional Hospital in Creston for treatment of possible injuries.
