Iowa Spring Turkey Season Opens April 14, Youth-Only Season Begins Today

(State) Iowa’s spring turkey season kicks off April 14. The youth-only season for Iowa residents ages 15 and under begins today and runs through Sunday.

Youth tags, available through April 13, are valid through the end of the season on May 18.

The Iowa DNR says after a record harvest of more than 16,000 birds in 2024, hunters can expect good numbers again this year.
