(Atlantic) The Atlantic Fire Department responded to a shed and vehicle fire at 1:17 p.m. at 54735 Buck Creek Road.
Atlantic Fire Chief Tom Cappel stated that the fire was caused by individuals living in the lower level of the home who were burning trash.
Audio PlayerChief Cappel said it took the department about 25 minutes to bring the fire under control. A full-size pickup, a smaller pickup, an older Monte Carlo, and the shed were all a total loss.
The man who started the fire was evaluated by Cass EMS and was found to be okay.
Cass EMS and the Cass County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
Marne Fire Department was en route with a tanker but was later disregarded.
