(Atlantic, IA) — The Atlantic Girls Track and Field are back in action tonight and the 4×100 relay team will continue to try to get faster. The foursome broke the school record at state last year and the first time on the track this year, they ran a 41.78 — that ranks 54th in the state which should put them in the field at the Drake Relays. Head Coach Matt Mullenix says every time they break that mark, its another school record
Audio PlayerMullenix would like the Shuttle Hurdle Relay team to run faster — Morgan Botos, Lila Wiederstein, Adler Bruce, Jayci Reed currently sit at 1:11.56 and are 36th in the state and Mullenix beleives they can be much better
Audio PlayerAnother looking for improvement is Senior Jayci Reed who has a time of 16.68 in the 100 hurdles. That is not where she needs to be says Mullenix but she will get there and it could come quickly
Audio PlayerAtlantic girls head to Harlan tonight for the Koos Relays. Both Boys and Girls will be at the Sioux City Relays this Saturday.
