(Des Moines, IA) — Police responded to the Federal Courthouse in Des Moines Tuesday morning just after 8:30 on a report of a shooting.
Officers found an adult male employee inside the courthouse in an area of restricted access with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital with critical injuries. Police say the injury was self-inflicted.
They say the employee’s condition and identity will be released by federal authorities when available.
