(Greenfield, IA) — When it comes to running races, the longer it is, the better Gabe Winkelmann of Nodaway Valley is. The Freshman immediately stood out in the fall for the Wolverines — he made it to state in cross country and he says the transition from the shorter distances in junior high was easy because he preferred the longer distance in high school For track, Winkelmann runs all the long distance races — the 800, 1600 (1 mile) and the 3200 (2 mile). He says he approaches each race differently
