(Panora, IA) — The AC/GC Boys Track and Field team got a victory at the Kip Janvrin Invitational at Panorama High School on Tuesday, running away from the field with a 37 point victory. The girls meet came down to one point with Central Decatur beating Madrid 101 to 100. Madrid’s 4×400 relay was DQed and Central Decatur finished in 6th place to pull them ahead of the Tigers.
For the Chargers, there were five victories including two relays. The 4×100 team of Joe Crawford, Brexton Schneider, Kade Sorensen and Eli Madsen won with a time of 44.40 seconds. The Shuttle Hurdle team of Jathan South, Morgun Nolte, Tate Fever and Schneider won at 1:03.10. Dean Vela won the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.21 seconds, Tate Fever won the 400 Hurdles at 57.04 seconds and Jathan South won the High Jump at 5-08. Also for AC/GC, Jonny Kading was 3rd in the 800, Luke Brincks 3rd in the 400; Kade Sorensen 3rd in the 100; Talon Noland was 3rd in the 200. The Chargers were also 2nd in the sprint medley relay.
AC/GC Girls: Ava Campbell won the 1500 with a time of 4:55.25 and Cadence Petersen won the 400 Hurdles at 1:13.03. Becca Littler was 3rd in the discus, Caydence Boals was 4th in the discus and the Chargers were 2nd in the 4×400 relay.
Audubon Boys: Aaron Olsen finished 2nd in the 100 at 11.61 seconds; Adam Obrecht was 4th in the 200; Jorgen Nowatzke 4th in the 400; Aiden Kjergaard 4th in the 800; and the Wheelers were third in the shuttle hurdle and 4×800 relays.
Audubon Girls: Taryn Petersen finished third in the 200 and 5th in the 100; the Wheelers were third in the 4×200 relay.
Nodaway Valley Boys: Trent Warner won both throws for the Wolverines — taking the discus at 151-10 and shot put at 52-04.75. Gabe Winkelmann won the 3200 at 10:22.39.
Nodaway Valley Girls: Maddie Weston was 4th in the 100 and Izzy Eisbach 4th in the 1500.
Other girls highlights: Panorama won the 4×800 and 4×400 relays; Maddy Lutz first in the 400 and Kylie Rochholz first in the 800. Ogden won the 4×100 and 4×200 relays. Paige Richards of Madrid was first in the 100, 200 and long jump. Lauren Dvorak won the shot put and discus from Madrid. The Tigers Madelyn Grothus was first in the 2 mile. Central Decatur won the sprint medley and shuttle hurdle relays and Breegan Lindsey was first in the 100 hurdles. Greene Count won the distance medley relay and Aubree Shields of Mount Ayr won the high jump.
Other boys highlights: Panorama’s Noah Poldberg won the 1600. Ogden won the Distance Medley relay. Greene County had three individual winners (Broc Stream in the Long Jump, Nick Stream in the 400 and Drew Wolterman in the 800). Woodbine won the Sprint Medley and 4×400 relays. Central Decatur won the 4×800 relay.
