(Montgomery Co.) The Montgomery County Board of Supervisors approved the Secondary Roads IDOT FY26 Budget this morning in the amount of $13,539,200. It was noted that this is the same as the Secondary Roads County Budget.
The Supervisors also approved the Secondary Roads FY26 Five Year Construction Plan. Engineer Karen Albert clarified some of the projects in the plan.
Audio PlayerAlbert reported they have been hauling rock to the Stanton area, cleaning salt and sand off of highway bridges, conducting equipment maintenance, removing sanders and plows off of trucks, and they are repairing bridge deck planks on a bridge on 257th Street south of Stanton. Albert also noted that Planning and Zoning will have a public hearing regarding the proposed wind ordinance on Tuesday, April 29 at 5:30 p.m. at the Engineer’s Office.
In other news, the Supervisors approved the apportionment of Rick VanScyoc to the Eminent Domain Compensation Commission.
Prior to the meeting starting, the Board held a moment of silence for Curtis White, who was Director of Veterans Affairs for Montgomery County. Curtis White passed away on April 3rd.
