Officer Ben Sandy Joins Atlantic PD as New School Resource Officer

(Atlantic) The Atlantic Police Department is proud to announce the addition of Officer Ben Sandy to the Atlantic Police Department.

Atlantic Police Chief Devin Hogue says Ben Sandy will be assigned as the School Resource Officer for the Atlantic Community School District.

Chief Hogue said the school has been great to work with and they are very fortunate to receive the Department of Justice federal hiring grant that will help offset some of the cost for about three years. Chief Hogue said the community support has also been fantastic.

Officer Ben Sandy is married with three children. Outside of staying busy with his family, he enjoys woodworking and illustrating in his free time.
