(Johnston, Iowa) Life Serve Blood Center’s service area needs 3,000 units of blood weekly to meet the needs of hospital patients. Officials say appointments are required at an upcoming blood drive at two locations in Crawford County.
*Schleswig Community Blood Drive on May 5, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Bloodmobile at the Schleswig Community Building at 204 2nd Street.
*Denison Community Blood Drive on May 12 from 12:15 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital, Meeting Rooms B & C at 100 Medical Parkway.
Life Serve representatives remind the public that the need for blood never stops, especially since someone in the United States needs a lifesaving transfusion every two seconds.
