(Council Bluffs) The Council Bluffs Police Department Traffic Unit is investigating a personal injury accident that occurred Friday afternoon.
Dispatch advised officers of a collision near the intersection of Harry Langdon Boulevard and East South Omaha Bridge Road at around 4:04 p.m. Upon arrival, officers determined that a pickup truck had collided with a school bus.
The driver of the pickup truck was found trapped inside the vehicle. The school bus was occupied by two adults; no children were on board at the time of the accident.
Council Bluffs Fire and Rescue responded to the scene and utilized extraction equipment to access the driver of the pickup truck. The driver was transported to the University of Nebraska Medical Center with serious injuries sustained in the crash.
This incident remains under investigation by the Council Bluffs Police Traffic Unit.
