Griswold and Lewis Firefighters Respond to Residential Fire on Wednesday Morning

(Lewis) A lightning strike is possibly to blame, causing minor damage to a residence south of Lewis. The Griswold and Lewis Fire Departments responded to the call at around 3:30 a.m. at 57076 Lewis Road. Griswold Fire Chief J.C. Wyman says there is evidence of a lightning strike at the peak of the house.

Wyman says they had quick access to the attic, found the hot spot, took care of it, and were good to go. No one was injured in the fire, and the damage was described as minor, with no significant structural damage.
