(Fontanelle) The Boards of Directors for the Nodaway Valley and CAM Community School Districts narrowed the superintendent search during a joint closed session on Monday night.
The individuals chosen for interviews are: Michelle Arneson Havenstrite, Prairie City, Iowa; Jonathon Mendoza, Norwalk, Iowa; and Pam Stangeland, Stanhope, Iowa.
Interviews are set for April 7. The interview panels will consist of community members, students, certified staff, support staff, administrators, and Board members. All of them will have the chance to meet the candidates and provide feedback to the Board. The Board plans to finalize its decision on April 7.
To assist with this search, the Nodaway Valley and CAM Community School Districts engaged McPherson & Jacobson, L.L.C. to conduct the process. The consultants carried out thorough reviews, screenings, and background checks on all applicants. On March 31, 2025, they presented their findings to the Board of Directors, leading to the selection of three finalists.
Once a superintendent is appointed, Stephen Murley, Kim Antisdel, and Tom Ridder will lead a workshop for the Board and the new superintendent to help establish performance objectives.
