Atlantic Girl’s Golf Team Gearing Up for Season Opener

(Atlantic) Six golfers reported to practice on March 17 under first-year Head Coach Brooke Newell. The Trojans want to defend their Hawkeye Ten Conference Tournament title and 5-0 conference dual record.

Coach Newell says the roster consists of two seniors, Emma Rose and Nissa Molgaard; juniors Rylee Bengel, Nevaeh Fewson, and Makenna Schroeder; and freshman Mary Leonard. Schroeder led the team one year ago with a 50 nine-hole average, and Emma Rose averaged 53.

Newell says they have about 10 days to prepare for the season opener against Creston.
