(Griswold, IA) — The Griswold Boys Track and Field team already has had a solid start to their season. At their indoor meet in Ames, the shuttle hurdle team of Wyatt Silk, Bode Wyman, Nollan Smith and Peyton Cook finished 2nd place to ACGC by a small margin; the 4×800 team of Cody Dorscher, Conner Bowers, Auden Wilson and Holden Jensen got a 6th place in a tough field and Cook individually was 3rd in the 110 Hurdles, 8th in the 60 and 8th in the 200. At state last year, Cook was 19th in the 110 Hurdles and 15th in the 400 hurdles and Head Coach Andy Everett says he’s got a good chance to get on the medal stand this year

Audio PlayerEverett says his team is poised to contend for the Corner Conference title but Fremont Mills and Bedford will be good competition. Griswold opens their outdoor season next Tuesday at Bedford; they will host their own meet next Thursday.
