(Clarinda) On the evening of Thursday, March 27, the Clarinda Police Department executed a search warrant at an apartment located at 800 W. Tarkio Street. During the search, officers seized methamphetamine and marijuana and arrested two occupants of the residence.
Richard Daniel Rodriguez, 28, of Clarinda, was taken into custody on charges of felony distribution of methamphetamine, providing a place for the use of controlled substances, failure to possess a drug tax stamp, and child endangerment. Mileena Jade Villanueva, 26, of Clarinda, was arrested for child endangerment and providing a place for the use of controlled substances.
A five-month-old child present in the home was placed into protective custody with the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services. Rodriguez and Villanueva remain in custody at the Page County Jail as they await formal charges from the Page County Attorney’s Office.
