Atlantic Golf Team Returns Experience and High Expectations

(Atlantic) The Atlantic boy’s golf team enters the season with high expectations. Almost everyone is back from a team that just missed a Hawkeye Ten Conference Tournament title and a team trip to the state golf tournament.

One senior starter returns for Head Coach Kendra Henningsen, along with two juniors and two sophomores from a team that went 45-9 last season and averaged 42 strokes for a nine-hole average.

In her second season as the head coach, Coach Henningsen continues to stress the short game to her players.

Coach Henningsen says another positive sign for this team is the time spent on the course in the offseason.

The Trojans open the season at home on April 8, playing a dual with Kuemper Catholic at the Atlantic Golf and Country Club.
