Obituary
On August 23,1980, he was united in marriage to Debra Ann Schaaf and made a home in and around Griswold. Together, they had three children. Alan enjoyed working on tractors, farming, and pulling anhydrous tanks until his health forced him to stop.
Alan was an avid John Deere tractor fan and cheered loudly for Nebraska Cornhusker football. He enjoyed grilling, gardening, and tinkering with tractors. His grandchildren were the joy of his life, and he loved spending time playing with them. Alan kept his sense of humor and his fighting spirit until the very end.
Alan was preceded in death by his parents, his mother-in-law Pat Schaaf, and his nephew Scottie Arp.
