(Anita, IA) — Last year’s highlight for the CAM Boys Track and Field team was Jack Follmann who nearly won the 110 Hurdles, finishing with the silver medal and also finished 12th in the 400 Hurdles. This year, with their leader gone, the goal is to get more Cougars competing at the blue oval. With 15 boys out this year, Head Coach Drew Ticknor says it starts with his two seniors Brayden Chester and Kegan Croghan
Logan and Lucas Schrier and Drew Barber are freshmen along with Junior Hudson that will also compete for spots in the throws. Ticknor has also seen potential in his long jumpers
CAM has some strong sprinters — Carson McKee made the finals in the 60 meters the other day at an indoor meet and Cohen McCann has also posted some strong times in the 60. Another area where CAM is looking solid at is at the mid distance 800 level and Ticknor has seen some good times in their indoor meets
CAM’s first outdoor meet will be at Bedford on Tuesday April 1.
