(Lamoni) Graceland University is excited to announce the addition of Hadin Thompson to the Yellowjackets men’s soccer program. Thompson, a talented attacking midfielder from Atlantic High School in Atlantic, Iowa, brings creativity, vision, and a strong competitive edge to the team.
Thompson was a standout performer throughout high school, leading by example with his skill, determination, and sportsmanship. In his junior year, he was one of Atlantic High School’s top goal contributors (goals + assists) while posting the highest goal conversion rate on the team—a testament to his attacking efficiency and ability to make an impact in the final third.
Beyond soccer, Thompson has demonstrated academic excellence, earning academic honors while excelling in AP and honors courses. His well-rounded athletic background includes football, cross country, and basketball, highlighting his versatility and competitive drive. A passionate Ipswich Town FC supporter and avid basketball player, he also enjoys lifting, baking, nutrition, and spending time with family and friends.
Head Coach Bryan Courtney expressed his enthusiasm for Thompson’s addition to the program. “Hadin exemplifies the type of student-athlete we look for at Graceland. He’s a local Iowa kid with strong values and work ethic,” said Thompson. “We are excited to see how far Hadin can grow his game as he transitions to college.”
According to the press release, Thompson’s commitment to Graceland University strengthens the Yellowjackets’ attacking midfield. His dedication to athletics and academics aligns perfectly with the university’s values. The Graceland community eagerly anticipates watching him develop at the next level.
