(Cass County, Iowa) Two people were found dead at a rural residence in eastern Cass County on Friday.
Cass County Sheriff John Westering tells KSOM/KS95 News, that they received a call around 1:15 p.m. Upon arrival, they found one male deceased outside the residence, while another male was located dead inside an outbuilding. Sheriff Westering stated that the cause of death is currently unknown and is under investigation. He assured the public that there was no reason for concern. No other details are being released at this time.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office, the Department of Criminal Investigation (DCI), and Cass County Emergency Management Coordinator Mike Kennon assisted at the scene. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
