(Red Oak) Barry Byers, Assistant to the County Engineer appearing in front of the Montgomery County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, stated the bridge repair project on S Avenue, near 210 Street is complete and the road is open to traffic.
Byers also reported they have one truck driver/laborer position open. Applications are available at the Engineers Office, or on the county’s website under employment opportunities.
Byers says the deadline to apply is on Friday, March 28. Byers says applications can be dropped off at the engineer’s office, or contact the engineer’s office for the email address.
Other than that road crews are spotting rock, and repairing road signs damaged by the high winds last week.
Under the action items, Damien Bond, Montgomery County Weed Commissioner, Damien Bond appeared before the supervisors for approval of the annual Resolution on Destruction of Noxious Weeds.

The Supervisor’s also approved the amended claims payable for Wednesday, March 12, in the amount of $75, 194.73. Additionally, the board approved the abatement of taxes for the City of Red Oak owned property on N. 2nd Street in Red Oak for taxes 2023 payable 2024/2025.
