(Stuart) A Stuart man was arrested on multiple firearm and drug charges.
On March 12th, the Stuart Police Department and Cass County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant a 615 Southwest 7th Street at an apartment rented by 52 year old Todd Shane Jackson. This search warrant was obtained based on an investigation that Cass County was conducting that involved multiple firearms and the sales of firearms. Jackson is a convicted felon and prohibited from possessing any firearms, ammunition, or offensive weapons.
Upon entry, a strong odor of burnt marijuana was observed throughout the residence, and multiple firearms were located, along with ammunition, drugs, and drug paraphernalia.
In an interview conducted by the Stuart Police Chief, Jackson admitted to possessing the firearms and also admitted to trading meth, marijuana, and $200 for two of the firearms that were located.
Todd Jackson was charged with 13 counts of Felon in Control of Firearm, one count each of Possession of a Short-Barrel Rifle/Shotgun, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana) 2nd Offense, Unlawful Possession of a Prescription Drug, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was held on $75,000 bond.
