(Sioux County) Two people suffered injuries in a two-vehicle head-on collision in Sioux County.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, the accident happened on Saturday at around 6:18 p.m. on Jackson Avenue, and Highway 60. Authorities identified the injured as 38-year-old Henry Manuel Esquivel Villanueva, of South Sioux City, Nebraska, and 26-year-old Ashley Renae Van Beek of Sioux Center, Iowa.
The report indicates Villanueva was driving a 2004 Honda PC southbound on Jackson Avenue, lost control, crossed the centerline, and collided head-on with a northbound 2016 Subaru driven by 26-year-old Jeremy Van Beek, of Sioux Center. Both vehicles ended up in the north ditch.
Orange City ambulance transported Ashley Van Beek, and Villanueva to the Orange City Hospital.
The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, Orange City Police Department, Orange City Fire and Rescue, and the Orange City Ambulance.
