(Greenfield, IA) — Nodaway Valley Boys basketball has fallen on hard times — 3 wins last year and only 4 this season but first year Head Coach Mick Long is hoping to turn things around. The Wolverines will lose four seniors off this year’s squad — starters Paul Berg, Ben Hoover plus Garrett Welsch and Christian Putney. Long says this year’s team improved in their fundamentals throughout the season
Next season, Ty Rardin will be counted on to lead the Wolverines — the Sophomore led the squad in scoring and he did it while playing out of position
Long would like to move Rardin to the off guard and use either Junior Titus Hamer or a couple of freshmen could play point guard. In the post, Long has juniors that will be seniors next year
Long says the biggest priority in the off-season is to get stronger and offensive execution.
