(Anita, IA) — In mid January, the CAM Boys Basketball could not do a thing right, the Cougars lost 5 in a row and the last straw was a thumping by Woodbine. The team went to work and turned their season around, winning 8 of their last 9 games before falling to IKM Manning in the playoffs. With their finish, they went 12-11 on the season and Head Coach Ian Hunt liked how they turned things around
CAM will lose four seniors including leading scorer Chase Jahde who averaged 16.4 points a game. Starters Makade Paulsen and Coby Venteicher also graduate along with Chase Spieker who got into a couple of games despite his injury. Hunt realizes his team next year will not be as big so he will rely on Collin Bower a lot to begin with
Hunt also says he has some kids coming up from the JV level that will contribute next season
Hunt says working on skill development will be a priority in the off-season and he says the team saw a lot of different defenses over the season and they need to do a better job of making adjustments.
