(Des Moines) Snowfall continues over portions of western, northern, and central Iowa, with areas between Highway 30 and Interstate 80 seeing a mix of snow and rain. Precipitation will continue through the morning before diminishing early this afternoon. Snow and slush-covered roadways may result in slick travel conditions during the morning commute.
The National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory today until 3:00 p.m. This advisory covers the counties of Monona, Crawford, Carroll, Guthrie, Audubon, Shelby, and Harrison.
Additional snow accumulations of one to three inches are forecast today. Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday morning commute. Use caution while shoveling this wet, heavier snow. Slow down and use caution while traveling.
