(Red Oak) The Villisca, Grant, and Red Oak Fire Departments responded to 1601 T Avenue for a reported skid steer explosion.
Red Oak Fire Chief John Bruce says when they arrived, the skid steer was fully engulfed in flames. The homeowner was able to pull it away from a grain bin before the fire department arrived.
Fire crews were able to extinguish the fire quickly without incident.
There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters.
The Skidsteer is considered a total loss at the time of report.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, and Montgomery County Communications assisted.
