(Williamsburg, IA) —Republican Brad Sherman is a Christian Pastor from Williamsburg, Iowa has become the first person to announce his candidacy for Iowa governor. Sherman served in the Iowa legislature and introduced a bill abolishing same sex marriage. In an interview with KSOM and KS 95, Sherman says he does not apologize for his Christian beliefs but would not say outright if he would pursue the issue as governor

Sherman is the founder and pastor of Solid Rock Christian Church in Coralville, IA. Sherman was also president and board chair of Informed Choice of Iowa for 10 years, an anti-abortion organization.
