(Ames, IA) — The Iowa St. men’s basketball team could be at a crossroads as they head into tonight’s game against Arizona, coverage on KSOM. The Cyclones are still a NCAA Tournament team, they are still ranked #9 in the country but they have lost two in a row and are coming off their worse loss of the season to a 14-14 Oklahoma St. team. They are now a projected #3 seed in the tournament but any more losses and that seeding may slip. Keshon Gilbert is expected to play tonight against the Wildcats and Head Coach T.J. Otzelberger says they need him to play 100 percent all out
The team’s leading scorer Curtis Jones is now over his sickness and Otzelberger says he is raring to go. Joshua Jefferson is the leading rebounder and third leading scorer and Otzelberger wants to see effort out of him the entire basketball game, start to finish
Back on January 27, ISU lost to Arizona 86-75 in overtime. Now the Cyclones begin their final 3 game stretch in the regular season and Otzelberger wants to see his team play with purpose tonight
#9 Iowa St. is 21-7, #22 Arizona is 19-9, tip off at 8 pm tonight, Cyclones Pre Game at 7 pm on KSOM
