(Cass Co) Fire Departments across the area have been busy battling field fires today (Friday).
Cass County Emergency Management Director Mike Kennon said most of them have started from brush piles that were previously burned and the wind has kicked up and spread those embers.
Kennon said if you have burned any brush piles recently, check up on them.
Kennon said it’s best to hold off on burning until we have better conditions.
