(Harlan) The Audubon County Sheriff’s Office took a man into custody on Monday who allegedly scammed a Shelby County resident out of cash.
According to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, a black male traveling in the rural Tennant/Portsmouth area driving a black Chrysler minivan scammed a resident out of cash, claiming a family member needed bond money.
The Sheriff’s Office urges the public to call law enforcement if someone asks you for money.
