(Red Oak) Icy Road conditions caused a two-vehicle crash in Red Oak on Thursday. Fortunately, no one was injured in the mishap.
According to Police, the accident happened at 10:49 a.m. near Fourth Street and East Valley Street. Authorities say 76-year-old Darrell Roberts of Red Oak was driving a 2000 Toyota Tundra westbound on Valley Street approaching the North Fourth Street intersection. Roberts’ vehicle slid through the intersection and was struck by a 2015 Ford Mustang driven by 48-year-old Ronald Bingham of Red Oak.
Police cited Roberts for failing to yield.
The Mustang received an estimated $6,000 in damage. The Tundra received an estimated $3,000 in damage.
