(Logan, Iowa) – On Friday, a man from Harrison County was convicted of 1st Degree Murder. Reports from the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation indicate that the jury took less than three hours to determine that 23-year-old Sebastin Reece O’Brien, from Little Sioux, was guilty of the April 21, 2024, killing of 53-year-old Douglas Lynn Manly, who was from Missouri Valley. Following the murder, O’Brien took Manly’s truck and fled the scene before ultimately crashing it. He was later apprehended by deputies from the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office near the location of the accident.
