Casey Joe McClain, the son of Terry Douglas and Pamela Sue (Walker) McClain, was born October 21, 1975, in Council Bluffs, IA. Casey died February 15, 2025, at his home in Roland, IA, at the age of 49 years, 3 months, and 25 days.
Casey grew up on farms around Macedonia and was a member of the first graduating class from Riverside High School in 1994. When he was nine years old, his sister Ashley was born. Casey worked at various jobs in southwest Iowa until enrolling in Iowa State University, from which he graduated. On October 18, 2014, he was united in marriage to Nicole Hammer in Ames, Iowa. In 2023, he became licensed in the state of Iowa as a practical nurse and was the current owner and operator of Aqua Touch, a swimming pool maintenance company.
Casey was preceded in death by his mother Pamela, grandparents Shirley and Bernard Walker, James and Connie McClain, and uncle Douglas Walker.
He is survived by his daughters, Nora and Nell McClain, their mother Nicole McClain, his father Terry McClain and wife Gladys, sister Ashley Evans and husband Randy, and nieces Lilly, Clara, and Ava, along with many other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Friday, March 14, 2024, at the Wheeler Grove Church east of Carson. The time of the service is pending. Rieken Vieth Funeral Home in Oakland is assisting the family.
