(Omaha) The Nebraska State Patrol says Trooper Kyle McCacy who died in the line of duty, was on the scene of a three-vehicle crash in slick conditions on I-80 that involved a vehicle hitting an N-DOT snowplow. A second trooper was checking on injuries.
Nebraska State Patrol Superintendent John Bolduc says Trooper McCacy was a special person.
The Nebraska State Patrol asked the Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office and Iowa State Patrol to continue the investigation of the crash that happened between Ashland and Greenwood during Thursday morning’s snow and slick conditions.
