(Des Moines) Dangerously cold wind chills remain this morning and again tomorrow morning across southwest and west central Iowa.
The National Weather Service issued a Cold Weather Advisory until noon today. Extreme Cold Warning is in effect from 9:00 p.m. this evening to 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. Wind Chills are forecast to dip to 35 below zero. Frostbite could set in on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.
The forecast high for today is three degrees, and tonight’s low will be 20 below zero. Thursday’s high will be six degrees, and the low will be 16 below zero.
The forecast high for Friday is 15 degrees, Saturday is 30 degrees, Sunday is 47 degrees, Monday is 47 degrees, and Tuesday’s high is 50 degrees.
